Module 4 – Vaccines and therapeutics
This module will assess a variety of matters concerning the development of Covid-19 vaccines and the execution of the vaccine distribution initiative in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Concurrently, it will investigate matters pertaining to the management of Covid-19 through both established and novel medications. Special attention will be given to gleaning insights from past experiences and bolstering readiness for future pandemics.

Preliminary Hearings
September 13th 23’ – Marie-Claire McDermott, Counsel for the Northern Ireland Bereaved Families for Justice, opened by highlighting the poor state of the Northern Irish healthcare system and the need for reform. Ms McDermott drew a comparison of how Northern Ireland was treated and how the rest of the UK was treated. In closing, Ms McDermott stated that Northern Ireland Bereaved Families are adamant to continue providing evidence to the Inquiry.
May 22nd 24’ – The Counsel for the Inquiry presented an overview of the mechanics of the Inquiry, including the release of disclosure and provisional organisations to give evidence. Further, they covered queries raised by groups within the Inquiry and the provisional timetable for Module 4.
Public hearings will run from Tuesday 14th January to Thursday 30th January 2025 and take place at Dorland House, 121 Westwood Terrace, London, W2 6BU.
